The Interview
Q: How did you meet your fiance (almost husband!!)?
A: I met Chris at our high school sophomore date dance. Chris went with one of my friends but I flirted with him all night. Fast forward almost 15 years and now we are getting married!
Q: Now that you have the ring on your finger, tell us how he proposed!
A: Chris took me to Disney World after I graduated with my Masters. One Tuesday morning, he took me to the front of the castle and got down on one knee! He surprised me with all of our families standing behind us! It truly was a dream come true!

Q: When and where are you getting married? How did you decide on the time of the year and the venue?
A: We are getting married on 9/22/18 at the Hyatt Lodge in Oak Brook, IL. Chris and I are big fans of Fall so our wedding is on the first day of fall! Chris took me to see the Hyatt because he used to go there a lot when he was younger since his uncle worked there and always thought it was a cool place!
Q: Spill the details! What's your wedding theme, style, colors, and other must-haves?
Our colors are blush, navy, silver, and some gold! I wish we could have got married at Disney World so there will be some hidden mickeys here and there in some decor!
Q: What's your favorite source for wedding inspiration?
A: Pinterest, Pinterest & Pinterest!
Q: What have you loved most about wedding planning? What has been the most difficult?
A: My favorite part of the planning was finding the perfect dress with my sisters, mom & mother-in-law! The most difficult part has been budgeting and having to cut our list down due to booking a smaller venue!
Q: Are you two taking a honeymoon? If so, where to?
A: Yes! We are leaving the Monday after our wedding and heading to Maui! My aunt bought us our hotel for our honeymoon and we are so grateful!
Q: Why is marriage so important to you? What are you most excited about?
A: Marriage is the beginning to the rest of our lives. It is a new way to mature with someone at your side, someone to share the good and bad with, someone to help make important decisions, and someone to always have your back. Marriage is the beginning to a family and family is the most important thing to have in life. I am most excited about waiting to greet him every day when he comes home from work and give him a big hug & kiss!
Q: Do you have any advice for the newly engaged?
A: Be sure to budget and stick to it. Things always seem to add up. It is okay to cut smaller details. Most people remember the food and music!
Q: What’s next for you two after “I Dos”?
A: Let the house hunting begin! :)
